notes from Graz

My installation deStatik runs now in a shopwindow Annenstr. Nr. 8, corner St.Georgen Gasse Graz, too, during the dark hours till 18.October. Lot of documentation waits for being released online and I hope I get it done soon.

Yesterday the PD~Graz Verein had their annual meeting at ESC and eventually I became member.
Tomorrow we will visit IEM.

deStatik in Graz

yesterday was the opening at ESC Graz with my new installation, which runs fine now. Today I have to mount it in the public at an empty shop at corner Annenstrasse/Marschallgasse. It will be rear projected against the shopwindow and bypassers will trigger the interaction. But first I have to get the second computer running. OpenSceneGraph shadows seems to work, at least the shadowing technique I use, and fortunally I use power 2 textures because the ATI seems to reject other textures. Now I have only some problems with the PS3 cam and OpenCV...

Radio Helsinki Graz

Since 24. september I am working at ESC in Graz, Austria, programming a new installation which going to be shown from 9. October till the end of the artfestival Steirischer Herbst.
The installation is going to be projected outside and today I used the nice weather to do some location scouting but so far didn't found the right spot.
Anyway, tomorrow I am going to be at a early show at local station Radio Helsinki from 10:00 am till 12:00 am.

Mellotron about to return too

Even the old mechanical sample player which works with one tape per key is about to return. Hopefully they are more reliable when the original ones. Streetprice about 8000$:

Waldorf Wave gets updated OS

Long after its sold out, the Waldorf Wave synthesizer gets an updated OS. Its 75.- euro but I guess worth it. I wish I had a Wave...
